Climbing Volcano Agung

Agung is one of the active volcanoes in Indonesia and the highest point in Bali. Its height is 3142 meters above sea level. Locals believe that gods live at the top of the volcano - and call it “the great mountain.” There are many legends associated with Agung. They all say that the volcano protects Bali from evil forces and is the spiritual center of the island. It is visible from almost everywhere – and always arouses admiration.
Pilgrims and tourists have always sought to conquer it. Climbing Mount Agung is a difficult challenge even for people with excellent physical fitness. All this time, the knees are under heavy stress.
But the sunrise at the top of the “great mountain” is worth it! Behind the clouds - where the gods live, you will see how the sun wakes up and touches the earth with its first rays. These are magical moments!
