Climbing the ijen volcano
Ijen volcano is located on the island of Java, the highest point of the mountain is 2370m.
We start at night, on the way to the top you can see the glow of blue lights - this is burning sulfur. The view is breathtaking, and the very fact of a night trip leaves a pleasant impression.
After we reached the top, we descend into the crater.
A very beautiful view opens from the volcano, many people come here just to meet the dawn. There is an acid lake, which is considered the largest in the world.

Transfer to Ijen volcano
● You need to wait for the car at the hotel reception or at the entrance to the villa.
● At 19:00 you will depart for the port of Gilimanuk in northwest Bali. Depending on traffic, the journey will take 3-4 hours. There will be a stop along the way, during which you can have a snack in a cafe and relax.
● From the port of Galimuk you will go to the island of Java - the ferry will cross the strait in an hour. You will arrive at the port of Banyuwangi, from where the journey to the foot of the volcano will take about an hour.
Climbing Ijen Volcano
●Ijen National Park ticket office opens at 02:00.
● Before the start of the trek, an English-speaking guide will give instructions and provide masks and flashlights.
● The ascent will begin around 02:15 am. You will cover the first part of the route in one and a half to two hours.
● If you are lucky with the weather, take photos of the blue lights. But you can film how workers lift baskets with pieces of sulfur from the crater in any weather!
● In good weather, you will see an amazing sunrise over the largest acid lake in the world. After this, descend back to the foot of Ijen.
Important information
● The descent into the crater to the lake is not equipped for safe descent and ascent. We do not recommend descending into the crater. Otherwise, the tour organizer is not responsible for the consequences.
Return transfer
● You will return to the parking lot around 8am. On the way back, at the request of the group, you will go to breakfast (additional charge).
● After breakfast, return to the port of Banyuwangi and from there to the Island of the Gods. You will arrive in Bali around 1 pm.
● Depending on the traffic situation and the distance of your hotel, in the late afternoon around 17:00 - 18:00 you will already be at your hotel.
