Monkey Forest Alas Kedaton
Monkey Forest Alas Kedaton is a unique natural park in Bali, covering 12 hectares. It is located in the village of Kukuha, Tabanan District, just 25 kilometers from Denpasar. This place, whose name translates as "Forest Kingdom", is known for its picturesque nature, a 12th-century Hindu temple and an abundance of wildlife, including the famous long-tailed macaques.
The park is surrounded by the greenery of tropical plants, and its territory has all the conditions for a comfortable stay: paved paths, a monkey pool and comfortable playgrounds. This ancient Hindu sanctuary is surrounded by dense forest and is associated with attempts to unite Bali's various religious traditions. The temple has a mystical aura and the grounds are decorated with statues of Hindu deities including Ganesha and Goddess Durga. The entrance to the temple is closed to tourists, but you can walk around its perimeter and admire the architecture freely.
