The sand on Legian is soft and clean thanks to regular cleaning. The bottom is smooth, without corals and stones, which makes it comfortable for walking near the water. However, swimming here is difficult due to strong waves and long shallow waters. Lifeguards are on duty along the beach, and dangerous areas are marked with red flags.

Infrastructure

On the beach you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas (50,000 rupees per day), use showers (3,000 rupees) or have lunch at one of the local cafes. It serves Balinese cuisine including nasi goreng, bakso soup and chicken kebabs. The prices are reasonable: a portion of food costs from 10,000 to 75,000 rupees.

Entertainment and activities

Surfing is the main activity in Legian. The waves here are ideal for surfing all year round. You can rent a board (50,000-100,000 rupees per hour) or take a training course (5 lessons - about 3,250,000 rupees). The beach is also suitable for jogging, beach football and evening walks.
